Weekly Goal: Exercise Your Brain

Nice to see you! Wishing you a healthy day!

While in the interest of a healthy lifestyle, the focus is on the body. We want to exercise regularly. We want to get in shape. All of these are worthy goals. A healthy body is key to a healthy lifestyle. However, an important piece of the puzzle is missing–brain health.

Your brain is like any other part of your body. To stay in shape, it needs exercise. Exercise, fortunately, isn’t in the form of push-ups or sit-ups. You can exercise your brain with challenges like reading, games, and problem-solving.

To keep my brain healthy, I’m throwing all kinds of challenges its way. I’m honing my XHTML skills. I’m learning PHP and Javascript. My Google Analytics certification is my next major hurdle. All of this brain time keeps my mind healthy. The benefits don’t stop here.

Keeping my mind sharp gives me the skill set to tackle other challenges in my day-to-day life. My mind is used to solving problems. It can quickly access a situation and develop solutions. Not only am a taking steps on the road to wellness, but I’m enhancing life skills.

Weekly Goal: Exercise my mind with challenges.

Exercise Goes Compact

elliptical trainerIf you’re like me, the gym experience isn’t your thing. It’s nice having all the equipment, but then there are the bossy trainers, the sweaty patrons who don’t wipe the machines after they’re done, and the machine hogs. I much prefer to exercise at home.

Space is an issue though. I can buy some equipment for home use, but the question becomes where to store it. Well, if getting your cardio with an elliptical trainer is your fav, then this compact Hideaway Elliptical Trainer is for you. It doesn’t take up a lot of space, so you can even bring it to the office if your situation allows.

No more excuses now. While catching up on your shows, you can be melting the pounds. A 20-minute workout for a 150lb. person burns 198 calories. It’s a great workout that is easy on the knees. Since it is a higher intensity activity, your time is well spent burning more calories versus a less intensive workout.

The Hideaway Elliptical Trainer, a compact way to get your cardio in.
