I started on Week 5 of the Cool Running, . After a 5 minute warm up, I run for 5 minutes, walk 3 minutes, repeat and end with 5 minutes running followed by a cool down. I thought it would be tough, but actually it was quite good. I enjoyed it. It helped taking a motrin before I ran. ; )
My first official 5k is in 13 days. I’m doing the run for celiac disease. This disease is in my family, so it is a personal type of accomplishment as well. My husband will be running with me. I’m excited. This will be a real feat for me.
I’ve been reading about how to prepare. Since I’ve been building up my time gradually, I think I’ve done myself a big favor. Well, 13 days and counting!
Postscript 3/11/2008: since writing this, Cool Running was acquired by Active.com. The free program now costs $19.95. Sorry.

Sounds good! Good luck with it.
