A New Approach With the Abs Diet

I started the The Abs Diet for Women: The Six-Week Plan to Flatten Your Belly and Firm Up Your Body for Life A New Approach With the Abs Diet this past weekend. I’ve been struggling, trying to come up with a new exercise approach. I wanted something more, but wasn’t sure just what that was. The book offers sound advice about nutrition and strength training to help you reach your goal. With a “promise” of losing 20 pounds of fat and gaining 3 pounds of muscle, it’s hard not to take up the challenge.

I did my first workout from the book, strength with a leg emphasis. First, the workouts, except for one dedicated abs workout, are total body workouts. That’s a new approach for me. I would do upper body one day and lower body the next. Zinczenko’s idea is that this will keep you moving and keep your heart rate up. The next day, I feel sore. I realized that I have been ignoring my legs, thinking that walking was enough. For me, that tells me I have room to improve and will get off of this plateau. I’m excited.
