I associate with supper club. It’s the kind of dish you’d find on some quaint Wisconsin supper club menu. Lobster, of course, makes it a decadent indulgence. All those fat but wonderful treats are there: lobster, butter, cream, and a bit of Sherry for good measure.
Personally, Sherry or Madeira or even a dry Marsala make a meal for me. This recipe from Epicurious is no exception. This is the kind of recipe you save for that very special occasion like when you get that promotion or you won a bit of money.
