Growing up, I remember those summer days of barbeques, cole slaw, and of course, corn on the cob. Growing up in Illinois, how could you not worship the goddess of corn when cornfields surrounded you? Welcome to National Corn on the Cob Day!

I’ll admit, corn on the cob is one of those foods that I have been reluctant to break away from the usual way. Always, it is corn on the cob, slathered in plain butter with plenty of salt.
