I recently purchased a Blackberry that I use for geocaching. Adds a whole new dimension to the sport.
I use the GeoNavigator software to do the navigation and information retrieval for the geocaches. I discovered another program in the process, Trimble’s AllSport GPS.
The program can be used for whatever it is you like to do–walking (as in my case), running, or biking. It now only records your time and distance, but your speed and elevation. Take a look at this graph.

Based on your preference, you can (or not) share your maps. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t. What’s really nice about this is that it can be set to automatically upload your data to your free online account. You can compare trips. You can email trips, post them on your website. Great tools to share and keep you motivated.
The trial period is a very generous 90 days. The program is a yearly subscription, or you can go month by month. Of course, the yearly opt-in is the better deal at $39.99 versus $5.99 a month. For me, I like this program. I’m techy and geeky enough to really enjoy it. Sign me up!
